Working across several repositories
How to open more than one repository at once, and how the agent addresses files when you do.
AstraCode can hold several repositories in one window. If your work spans a frontend, an API and a shared library, open them together rather than switching windows.
Opening one
- If you already have a `.code-workspace` file: choose Open workspace on the start screen.
- To build one: open the first repository, then File → Add Folder to Workspace for each of the others, then File → Save Workspace As. Opening that file later restores all of them.
What changes
With one folder open, the agent refers to files as src/main.ts. With several, it uses the folder name too, api/src/main.ts, because that name is the only thing telling two repositories' src/main.ts apart.
Searching and listing span every open folder, so asking "where is this string used" covers all of them at once.
If you are used to a single-folder workspace, the longer paths in the transcript are expected: they are what makes the file unambiguous.
