Models

How AstraOne chooses the model for you, and choosing one yourself with your own key.

AstraOne

AstraOne chooses the model, so you never have to work out which one fits a task or find out the hard way that it did not. It runs the model that measured best at finishing real repository work, at high effort, from the first step to the last.

When the run checks its work and the check fails, AstraOne brings in a stronger model and carries on from where the first one stopped. You get a finished change rather than a report of a failed one.

Every step in the transcript names the model that served it, so you can always see what ran.

Choosing a model yourself

Put your own provider key in settings and a model picker appears under the composer. Requests then go to that provider on your account, with the model you pick. The models offered are discovered from the gateway rather than built into the editor, so a model enabled or withdrawn centrally appears or disappears without an update.

For what each plan includes, see pricing. It is the only page that states that, and it reads the same figures the billing does.
