Affiliate Terms

What you earn by sending people to AstraCode, when it is paid, and the few rules that keep it fair.

Who this agreement is with

These terms are between you and Vanarx Tech Inc., a corporation registered in Delaware, United States, governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States.

If you are paid in Nepal, you are paid by Vanarx Tech Pvt Ltd, a private limited company registered in Nepal, governed by the law of Nepal, on the same terms.

Joining

Anybody with an email address can join, at astracode.io/partners/. There is no application: your link works as soon as you join.

Your affiliate account is separate from any AstraCode customer account, with its own sign-in, even if you use the same email for both.

We may decline or end any affiliate account, including for the reasons in "The rules" below.

What you earn

15% of what each customer you refer pays us, excluding tax and anything refunded, on their first 3 paid months. A yearly plan counts as those months at once: you earn 15% of 3/12 of the yearly price.

A customer is yours when they create a new account within 60 days of clicking your link, and your link was the last affiliate link they clicked, or when they first pay using your discount code without having been referred by anyone else.

Nothing is earned on the free or student plans, on a code that makes a plan free, on your own account or organisation, or on accounts you control or pay for.

Your discount code

You can offer the people you refer up to 15% off their first payment. It comes out of your commission point for point: with a 10% code you earn 5% on that payment, and the full 15% after it.

Anyone who follows your link has the code filled in for them. Typed in by hand, it only works for customers you referred or who have never been referred by anyone. It does not work on your own account.

When you are paid

Each commission is held for 30 days after the customer pays, in case of a refund or chargeback, and is then approved. We pay approved commission monthly once you are owed at least $50; below that it carries over.

Outside Nepal you are paid through Stripe in your local currency. Stripe asks you for your bank details directly; we do not see them. Before your first payout we need a signed IRS Form W-9 if you are a US person, or Form W-8BEN if you are not.

In Nepal you are paid in rupees by eSewa or bank transfer, converted from the dollar amount at the rate on the day of payment.

You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. We may withhold where the law requires us to.

Refunds and chargebacks

If a customer is refunded, or a chargeback against them is lost, the commission on that payment is cancelled. If it has already been paid to you, it is taken off your next payout.

The rules

Say that you are an affiliate wherever you share your link or code, clearly and before the link, as consumer-protection law in most countries requires.

Do not bid on "AstraCode", "Astra Code" or anything resembling them in search or social ads, or use them in a domain name or account name.

Do not post your code on coupon or deal sites, send unsolicited messages, pretend to be AstraCode, make claims about the product that are not true, or pay or reward people to sign up.

Do not refer yourself, or accounts you own, control or pay for.

Checks and holds

We check referrals automatically for patterns that look like the things above, such as one card paying for several referred accounts, or referred customers who pay and never use the product. When a check trips, your payouts are held while a person looks. You keep earning while they do.

Commission earned by breaking these terms is not payable, and an account that breaks them may be suspended.

Customer referrals

Separately from the affiliate programme, any customer can share a referral link. When somebody they refer first pays, each of them gets 10 US dollars of account credit (Rs 1,000 for accounts that pay in rupees), 30 days after that payment, up to 10 times a year for the person referring. Credit comes off future bills; it is not cash and cannot be exchanged for it.

Changes and ending

We may change these terms by emailing you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Commission earned before a change keeps the terms it was earned under.

You can leave at any time. When either of us ends this agreement, approved commission you earned within these terms is still paid.
